This dress has the option of long sleeves, or short sleeves with an interesting crossover detail and bare upper arms. The loosely skims the waist with shallow darts, and is a great transitional style from the late 1920s to early 30s styling. For those who like more waist definition, the tie-on peplum is removable. The\u003cbr\u003epeplum is narrowly hemmed, and has optional curved welt pockets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe front of the bodice features an interesting vestee which can be tacked into the front of the dress. The vestee buttons to the dress through two buttons.  This dress slips on over the head and has NO side closures.  The length of this dress is quite long, as was common for the early part of the 1930s.\u003cbr\u003eThis dress sewing difficulty is rated “Advanced”, with very vague period instructions and a uniquely 1930s fit, including higher armholes and a close-fitting hip. Archive Couture patterns follow the period shapes of the original period source material, maintaining the historical accuracy and fit of the completed garment.
